30 minsServes 2
Ingredients
250g Saitaku Sushi Rice
5 tbsp Saitaku Rice Vinegar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp beet juice
100g Smoked salmon
1 Avocado, sliced thinly
1 Saitaku Nori Sheet
Instructions
Cook the Saitaku Sushi Rice according to the packet instructions. Mix in Rice Vinegar and salt, before adding the beet juice until reaching the desired pink colour.
Lay out your Saitaku Sushi Nori on the bamboo mat and spread out the pink Sushi Rice.
Add thin strips of salmon and avocado.
Ensure the top edge of the Nori is damp, before rolling up the bamboo mat tightly. To make the teardrop shape, pinch the bottom of the roll with the mat firmer than the rest, squeezing it into a narrower shape.
Slice the sushi into pieces. Once all rolls have been made, assemble them in the shape of a heart on a big serving board or platter.
